Cascata do Segredo
Cascata do Segredo is located in Água de Alto’s town, in Vila Franca do Campo.
The trail starts in Lugar da Praia (Trinta Reis). As you walk along, you will notice waterfalls, streams, and four factories. One of which is still in use, and the other has been reused as a museum.
On the way to this idyllic cascade, enjoy the fauna and flora. The forest is composed mostly of Australian laurel (Pittosporum undulatum) and Australian Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon). It is a unique place whose name does justice to its great beauty.
Have a moment with peace and harmony here. Close your eyes and feel the greatness of this astonishing place.

Pico da Vara
If you want to escape the chaos and confusion of everyday life, this trail is a must, for you will find ample and generous panoramic views here.
The trail runs along Pico da Vara’s Natural Reserve, the highest point on São Miguel Island reaching 1105 meters.
On the trail, you can see endemic plants like the Azorean juniper (Juniperus brevifolia), the Azorean holly (Ilex azorica), and the Azorean heather (Erica azorica). Don't hesitate to look back and take in the stunning scenery and the energy that this place emanates.
Upon reaching the highest point, we are greeted with a breathtaking panoramic spectacle. It's time to stop!

Salto da Inglesa
Salto da Inglesa or ''Janela das Furnas'' is located in Furnas near the Pico do Ferro viewpoint, exactly at the top of the waterfall. Take a walk in silence, breathe deeply, and reflect on nature's power.
Once you get there, you will be presented with a stunning view of the lake and Furnas Valley.
This vision highlights the outline of nature, forming a natural picture of undeniable beauty. Watch the precision of this place as it captures you. It's difficult to let it go because of the peace it brings us.

Cascata do Teófilo
It is a circular trail that starts and ends in the center of the town at Lomba de São Pedro.
As you walk along, pay attention to the bubbling waterfalls, the native vegetation, and the
fountains that provided water to the communities. Enjoy this moment of inner journey and
reflection.
You will regain strength in the coolness of the Teófilo waterfall. This is a perfect spot for a picnic and meditation. Inhale the magic of this place, feel the nature, listen to the sound of the trees and water, and watch the sun shine on nature's breathtaking beauty.
